Introduction

Hey there. My name is Bob. You may know me from such blogs as It's Not The Band I Hate, It's Their Fans and Toronto Music Blog Collective. What you are looking at here is not going to be all that particularly interesting or creative. For that, I would recommend going to the aforementioned blogs. So what is this then?

Well, sometimes, when I'm by myself and no one else is around, I like to sit at home and pretend to be the host of a nationally syndicated radio show, similar to what you would hear Tom Petty, Bob Dylan or Little Steven doing. As a hobby, I like to design my own meticulously crafted playlists; featuring everything from garage, surf, prog, mainstream, indie, alt-country, bubblegum, psych, shoegaze, blues, jazz, funk, etc, etc, etc. Why, I've even been known to dabble in hip hop and electronica, on occasion. I have over 18 000 songs in my iTunes library, as well as over 400 CD's and probably most likely a comparable number of albums too (although I've never actually counted.) I've thrown out most of my cassettes, but at one time those numbered into the thousands. That's a lot of music.

For several months now, I've enjoyed ending my week of music listening, with a carefully thought out playlist, lasting about 3 hours in length. What is included on the playlist simply depends on how I feel. If I could, I would talk about why every song and artist I listen to is worth recommending, along with flowery words, charts, graphs and alphabetized explanations. But I do not have the time to do that. This is why I decided that I would leave the writing and reviews on my primary blog, and I would use this spot in the blogger atmosphere to post my weekly playlists, along with links to the band's websites, so you could do the research yourself without any of my lengthy bla bla blah's.

Most likely, you're going to know most of these artists already, but hopefully each week will present something that is new and exciting to you. Enjoy.
